Here I want to discuss with you all the Slavery Concept of Aristotle and the application of that Concept at the present situation of Pakistan. Please give your opinions after reading it thoroughly and not merely after a birds eye view. So lets start the discussion.

 

Aristotle, the famous Greek Philosopher comments in his book “Politics”

 

“There are two categories of the people. From the hour of their births, some people are marked for subjugation and others for commanding others. But it is a vivid reality that some nations accept slavery forever but others do not accept the slavery fully even in their hard times”

“That is the reason the nations with self-respect (warrior nations) are considered respectable not only in their homeland but also throughout the world. On the other hand the nations without self-respect (uncivilized nations) are merely respectable in their own home land”.

 

According to the above said concept of Aristotle, we can have three conclusions.

1-     Slavery

2-     Yeomen Nations (the nations with self respect) respectable in entire world

3-     Uncivilized nations (the nations without self respect) respectable in their own home lands only i.e. only in their own eyes.

 

On 22nd October the headlines in the national newspapers was, “Decision has been finalized to sign Kerry Loggar Bill to accept American Aid for Pakistan”

 

After the birds eye view of newspapers, Slavery Concept of Aristotle flashed into my mind and I thought perhaps Pakistanis are chronic of Subjugation, that’s why merely after 69 years of freedom from Britain, they are quite willingly accepting the slavery of US and bowing their heads before US happily by accepting Kerry Loggar Bill. Why Pakistani People are wearing the coloured spectacles to feel all is good and everything is fine around them. They are getting a hand lock in the form of US Aid. Even it will lessen army control at boundaries. Pak army as an integral part of Pakistan will not have any right to cut in Pakistani Govt’s affairs but Americans will enjoy this right in spite of being Aliens.

 

Now move towards the second ingredient of Slavery Concept:

“Warrior nations (nations with self esteem) are well recognized as well as considered respectable in the entire world”

Is it so with Pakistanis?

Can we say we, being Pakistanis are well recognized and respectable throughout the world?

It is a bitter reality and the conclusion that we can draw that we are not respectable self esteemed nations.

 

A query arises in my mind while considering the third ingredient of this under discussion theory that if we are not in the category of Self-esteemed Nations and the nations that have self respect and that can defend themselves even in the worse conditions, so are we a nation with no self respect then?

 

As third ingredient is, “Nations without self esteem are well known within the boundaries of their own homeland only”

 But unfortunately we can say, we partially justify ourselves even being uncivilized nation:

Yes! I said “Partially”

The reason behind this aftermaths is that in Pakistan we prefer to be known as Punjabi, Sindhi, Balochi, Pathan or with some sectarian identity i.e. Shia, Sunni etc.

It is a bitter reality that Punjabis are considered respectable only in Punjab, Sindhis are respectable only in their own province and the same is with other two provinces and their people. In spite of the fact: “We are Muslims, Pakistanis and One nation” We are not Punjabi, Sindhi, Balochi or Pathan. We are the citizens of “Islamic Republic of Pakistan”

 

It has been clarified as well that we are partially uncivilized nation and having no self esteem.

 

After reading the above said bitter realities, numerous readers will be infuriated at the conclusions drawn by me.

Being a true and loyal Pakistani I would like to blow my own trumpet that once upon a time when Pakistanis enjoyed the fruit of freedom, moreover they were well recognized as an atomic power. Instead of getting grants, they were not surrendering before any Aliens and they were paying their debt installments without any external aid.

But it was the time of Unity, integration and cooperation. But what is the scene now?

“FREEDOM WAS OUR PAST BUT SLAVERY IS OUR PRESENT

WELL RECOGNITION WAS THE MATTER OF PAST: BEWILDERMENT IS OUR PRESENT”

Now it is our own choice to be commanding nation or subjugation. Are we going to lose our identity? America is going to colonize Pakistan by offering him Aid in the tray of unavoidable conditions. Isn’t US Aid a “Golden Cage” for us?

 

So guys!

Wake Up. It is the end of Freedom’s tether!!!

Save the Pakistan. It is our identity and don’t lose it otherwise we will be a “Lost Nation”
