We are going far away from Islam because we do not get its complete knowledge nor we try to explain the basics of Islamic teachings to our children or youngers. So unconsciously we are making them unaware and they are adopting many bad rituals from other religions. We scold them if they do not complete their home work. We are always afraid if our youngers do not get good grades in the exams but never ever we try to teach them the foundation of Islam. As a result we are getting a generation who is well versed with Shakespeare, John Milton, John Donne etc rather than Khulfa-e-Rashideen (R.A), their aceivements and the perfect Philosophy of a Momin. I am sure that 75% among us do not even recite Qur’an daily, they do not offer their prayers daily and only consol themselves by saying that we have to live a very long life, will do it later etc. Thats not a good attitude towards religion. We are adopting many negative things from other religions because we (generation to generation) are not well versed with our foundations. If you ever get some time to read the Glorious Islamic History and compare it with the European or with the History of any other nation, you will get a better Idea about the importance of following the Islamic Principals. Please use to read “Europe before Renaissance Age” and then realize the fact that they are successful because they got the light from the fire of Islam and now are called “The Best”. After reading their “Renaissance age”, you will realize the value of Islamic Principal that are adopted by other nations for great achievements and we are stepping back from them unfortunately.

But somehow there is a stream among young generation and they are getting awareness through different channels even though their families and other members of society related to them are not religious.

the worst thing that is common in the time before Islam and in the current era is “we have stopped calling bad as bad” for example, music is HARAM as per ISLAM, and we call it “food for soul”
if it is food for the soul then what is prayer for ?

i think we are going away from Islam .. back to the time before Islam was there.
you can look around yourself and you will notice all those things that we use to read in books happening before Islam.
